Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $18 / hour

What you'll be doing as a Machinist:

• Study blueprints, sketches, drawing, manuals, specification, or sample part to measure dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece.

• Follow instructions of setup sheet and set machine to the proper requirements.

• Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures/cutting tools/attachments/accessories, and materials on machines such as: mill, lathe, grinders, and shapers in accordance with setup requirements.

• Calculates and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control media.

• Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine setting or programmed control data.

• Start and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.

• Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly.

• Records quality data on process output and controls process to maintain process control within requirements.

• Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications.

• Performs regular maintenance and cleaning of machines and work areas as detailed on area 5S worksheet and records completion of tasks as appropriate.

• Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or other to resolve machining or assembly problems and offers feedback/suggestions for process improvements.

• Physical requirements include the ability to bend, twist, stoop, and reach and lift up to 50lbs and ability to work on your feet for 8-10hr shifts. 

• Background check and drug screening required
