Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for supporting all aspects of Program Information Assurance (IA) processes tailored to include minimum qualification standards, fundamental awareness and familiarity to demonstrated competency with specific experience in Cyber Security, Engineering, Test & Evaluation, (T&E) and/or Security Control Assessor (SCA) under a Certification & Accreditation (C&A) and/or Assessment & Authorization (A&A) process.

• Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing up to classified information, and supervise and/or maintain the operational security posture for an information system or program. More senior specialists may assist or develop system security policy and ensure compliance of change management and configuration control processes. Plan and coordinate the IT security program and policies supporting the command leadership mission and goals.

• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain server hardware and security software to ensure their confidentiality, integrity and availability.

• Implement Department of Defense information assurance compliance and security changes in both physical and virtualized environments as required.

• Interact with network and systems administration teams to identify and remediate system vulnerabilities and may travel to customer sites to support system deliveries schedule.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field with 6-8 years directly related experience or a Master of Science degree with 4-6 years of experience

• · Minimum of six (6) years of experience including leadership and strategic roles

• Hands-on experience with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), anti-virus software, and security information and event management (SIEM) tools.

• Experience with risk assessment, vulnerability management, and incident response.

• · US Citizenship and possess an active US Government Top Secret Clearance with ability to maintain the security clearance

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of security-related applications such as Nessus/ACAS and eMass

• Proficiency with network security tools, endpoint protection, and encryption technologies.

• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.

• Extensive experience developing or reviewing RMF packages.

• Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.

• Scripting skills (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) for automating security tasks.

• Strong understanding of network protocols, architecture, and security.

• Experience with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and their security configurations.
