Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital Certified Medical Assistant in St. Johnsbury, Vermont

Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital’s (NVRH) Center for Pain Management seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). At the Center for Pain Management, we aim to collaborate with patients and develop personalized plans using a consultative, interventional, and non-opioid approach to manage their pain effectively. As a CMA, you will perform duties and contribute to patients' safe and quality care under the supervision or direction of an MD, DO, PA, or NP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Flexible team member proficient in patient greeting, efficient patient flow management, and effective communication regarding appointment changes.

  • Contribute to initial office visit assessments, including recording health history, updating PFSH, obtaining required screenings, and taking vital signs.

  • Proficient in maintaining sterile instruments, equipment setup and maintenance, assisting with pain interventional procedures, and performing delegated medical procedures such as EKGs, injections, and point-of-care testing.

Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, CCMA, or RMA) and BLS through the AHA is required.

*Position requires CMA to tolerate wearing an 8-10 lb lead apron for extended periods
