The role

The Principal Engineering Services Engineer provides technical direction to internal and external customers on the application of our Weidmann\'s materials and products in transformer insulation designs, in order to achieve our business growth objectives.

How youll make an impact

Advise managers, executives, and global technical teams on technical matters, including key products, projects, and best practices.

Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitor developments to maintain Weidmanns leadership.

Provide technical support and training to engineers, enhancing their capabilities and ensuring industry standards compliance.

Participate in industry committees and events to communicate Weidmanns insulation expertise.

Support customer satisfaction through direct technical assistance and collaboration with the commercial team.

Lead and coordinate innovation projects from ideation to commercial launch.

Ensure proper project documentation in line with QMS, EMS, and regulatory requirements.

What do you bring

Minimum of Bachelors degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Prior (minimum 15 years experience) working experience preferred, including: transformer design or manufacturing experience, product development or R&D experience, also leadership, project management, and external customer interaction experience.

Excellent English proficiency (verbal and written), strong computer (e.g., MS Office, CAD), interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to travel internationally when needed.

Maintain, update and develop various department schedules to ensure on-time completion of projects and to meet department KPIs.

Involvement in IEEE or other industry groups preferred.
