The role

The Project Engineer will support projects and improvements, including mechanical design, equipment selection, startup, and ongoing enhancements. This role will collaborate with Maintenance to provide engineering support, manage shutdown planning, and oversee preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. Responsibilities also include specifying power transmission, pumping, piping, boilers, and compressed air systems.

How youll make an impact

Design and revise layouts, foundations, piping, and controls for new or updated equipment, coordinating with internal teams.

Prepare cost estimates, funding requests, and ensure designs are safe, reliable, and compliant with standards.

Procure equipment and materials, and oversee safe, efficient installations without disrupting operations.

Maintain detailed project records, and provide maintenance procedures and schedules.

Offer engineering expertise to resolve production issues and improve equipment performance.

Collaborate with Maintenance on shutdowns, repairs, and stock management, supervising personnel and contractors as needed.

What do you bring

BS Mechanical Engineering is required or equivalent engineering discipline and 15 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.

Effectively utilize computer-based applications, including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and SAP

Demonstrated ability to lead and participate in team-based activities

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Exceptional analytical problem-solving and equipment vendor management skills

Experience in budget management
