To perform duties in the manufacturing and packaging of high quality biological products. 3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday 10:00pm - 6:30am

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review and audit for completion and accuracy all assigned records, calibration, and documentation in assigned area to ensure regulatory compliance is maintained.

  • Read and follow schedules, procedures, and documents.

  • Assist in training other employees in an area of responsibility as assigned.

  • Assist staff in developing new procedures and methods or improving old ones.

  • Use and understand computer assisted data entry, and process logic controllers (PLCs) including SAP.

  • Assist lower labor grades as needed to insure the completion ofdaily tasks.

  • Assist validation group perform department equipment validations needed

  • Communicate with customer service to assure the timely completion and disposition of customer returns.

  • Independently perform housekeeping and safety inspections and issue reports of such inspections to supervision.

  • Propose modifications to procedures and documentation to improve overall efficiency and productivity.

  • Start-up, operate, monitor, and shut down all material handling, or other equipment within the department.

  • Review and suggest changes to site warehousing and distribution procedures and or protocols.

  • Competent and reliable driver of motor vehicles, including warehouse fork lifts, Pallet Transfer Machine and man-up lifts, and able to obtain a CDL license.

  • Able to identify freight damage during loading and unloading

  • Able to sustain heavy lifting over extended periods of time.

  • Working knowledge of all product names, incoming materials, and storage locations.

  • Operate Floor Scrubber, Floor Sweeper and other housekeeping duties.

  • Perform duties associated with receiving process to include use of handheld scanner.

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance.

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Assist technician under supervision

  • Required to perform work of a lower classification as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalentrequired

  • Communication Skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to train others.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Mathematical Skills

  • Perform calculations and conversions involving weights, volumes, and percentages.

  • Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to use basic logic to identify and solve problems

  • Knowledge and skill to recognize creative ideas that add value and are able to be implemented to improve efficiency, effectiveness and reduce complexity for department

  • Mechanical Aptitude

  • Demonstrated understanding of systems, equipment, and processes

  • Forklift certified and able to maintain annual certification

  • Computer Skills

  • Experience with Windows Operating System.

  • Proficient in typing ability

  • Comprehension and application

  • Proficient reading, comprehension and application skills toward a diverse set complicated tasks.

Preferred

Desired Skills, Experience and Abilities

  • Encouraged to obtain additional education at vocational technical schools or colleges.

  • Desired 1st class boiler operator license with demonstrated experience in operation ' maintenance of high pressure boiler.

  • Also desired is Universal Refrigeration License with demonstrated abilities in basic troubleshooting.
