Job Summary

The Building Information Modeling (BIM) Manager manages, maintains, and administers all integration aspects of the ARCHIBUS system, REVIT, and AutoCAD AEC software system.

Primary Duties

  • Subject Matter Expert for managing Building Information Management program, Drafting Support/Reproduction, As-Built Maintenance/CAD Services, and Engineering Work Requests in accordance with the Performance Work statement. and guiding transition from AutoCAD-based service delivery to REVIT.

  • Manages and administers all evaluation, implementation, and integration aspects of Government owned Computer aided Facility Management (ARCHIBUS) system, BIM software (REVIT), and AutoCAD AEC software.

  • Establishes record keeping processes and manages coordination processes for new construction and as-built drawings.

  • Supervises AutoCAD Supervisor and direct reports.

  • Building Information Model management and administration ensuring a healthy BIM database based on PWS and DoD customer BIM/CAD Standards.

    Additional Responsibilities

  • Create initial REVIT ® Project setup with workflow documents.

  • Assist Government BIM Manager in deploying project-templates on specific projects and ensuring team adherence to them.

  • Coordinating with professional staff on reviewing models and comments to include clash testing.

  • Develop schedules in close collaboration with customers, track performance, and report progress.

  • Daily model management administration and maintenance

  • Provide REVIT ®Architecture, Structure and MEP desktop support.

  • Over the shoulder training, developing, and showing to staff.

  • Content creation per NGA BIM/CAD Standard: Families such as parametric, formula, nested and type catalogs.

  • Work with all discipline’s vendors on content download and update to NGA BIM/CAD Standards.

  • Integration of REVIT ® products with other applications (Autodesk, Construction, Cost Estimation).

  • Ensure documentation, policies, security requirements and procedures comply with contract guidelines.

  • Perform other related duties or responsibilities as assigned.

    Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s )

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture construction, or another relevant field preferred.

  • Associate degree in relevant field plus 10 years BIM related experience is required.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI government security clearance with polygraph is required.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • High written and verbal communication skills.

  • Expert knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM), Computer-aided Facility Management systems, AutoDesk Revit®, and AutoCAD AEC software.

  • Ability to Obtain AutoDesk Certified Professional (ACP) certifications in REVIT for Civil 3D, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Disciplines.

  • Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software.

  • Proven ability to think independently and handle multiple projects through to completion.

  • An energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.

  • A strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus.

  • A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team builder. An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization.

  • A skilled negotiator with demonstrated ability to fully represent ServiceSource’s interests to external customers.

  • A well-rounded knowledge of government and commercial outsourcing service contracting environments.

  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and prepare operating and contractual documents.

  • Ability to work effectively as a manager and peer to accomplish necessary work.
