Seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist/Buyer for a growing company in St. Louis, MO! Qualified candidates with have experience with inventory planning, purchase order requisitions, RFQs and vendor management. salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year

work hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and maintain productive relationships with vendors.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned suppliers and vendors.

  • Utilize the ERP system to enter supplier confirmations and manage purchase orders efficiently.

  • Review purchase requisitions and execute purchases using established processes.

  • Monitor and expedite purchases, making necessary adjustments based on sales demand and customer requirements.

  • Maintain accurate records of transactions, pricing, lead times and other supplier related documentation

  • Work closely with sales personnel to address concerns, resolve issues, and enhance overall customer experience.

  • Collaborate with accounting and quality departments to resolve invoicing discrepancies, receiving issues and material returns.

  • Participate in purchasing improvement initiatives and cost reduction programs.

  • Assist in inventory control and planning by leveraging demand planning, forecast data and collaboration with sales teams.

  • Source new products and parts, initiate Request for Quotes (RFQs) and evaluate potential new suppliers.

  • Contribute to special projects as assigned by management which demonstrates flexibility and adaptability.
