Overview

We are looking for a Centralized Bereavement Coordinator Team Lead to join our team. This position will directly report to the AVP of Education and is responsible for participating with other members of the interdisciplinary team in multiple branches in identifying the bereavement needs of the patient and family.

  • Define goals which address individual needs and provide the highest quality service to meet those needs

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the centralized bereavement team

  • Assist with overflow calls, training, PTO, bereavement material orders, stamps and day to day operations

About You

  • High school diploma or equivalent; undergraduate degree in human service field preferred

  • Counseling responsibilities require graduate degree in a related discipline

  • Volunteer coordinator function bachelor’s degree preferred, or four years related experience

  • requires bachelor’s degree preferred or four years related experience

  • One year experience in a healthcare setting; preferably hospice, home health, community care or hospital

  • Evidence of training in the areas of life-threatening and chronic illness, grief, and loss

  • Clinical experience in the areas of life-threatening and chronic illness, as well as grief and loss

  • Knowledge of terminally ill patients and their families along with understanding of hospice and the psychosocial dynamics of illness, loss, and death
