Job Description

The Chemical Operator position is in our food chemical processing plant. As the Chemical Operator, you will operate in a safe and efficient manner, carrying out basic duties, some of the basic job duties are listed below: Raw Material handling and unloading.

I’m interested! What will I get to do in this position?

  • Material packing using manual, semi-automatic, and automated packing systems

  • Restocking of packaging supplies

  • Trailer loading and unloading using fork truck

  • Bulk truck loading and unloading

  • Clean-up and housekeeping

  • Operate chemical equipment

  • Troubleshoot process problems

  • Troubleshoot product flow

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?

  • 2+ years’ experience in an industrial manufacturing facility

  • Applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED

  • Have the physical ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. further than 10 feet on a frequent basis

  • Must be able to work in confined areas while wearing protective clothing & equipment

  • Must be able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision, rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays

  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems, computer applications

  • Good reading and comprehensive skills

  • Must be able to learn new duties and progress to chemical operator level

  • Must be capable of operating a fork truck

What will set me apart?

  • Active St. Louis stationary engineer's license is preferred

Starting Rate: $30.05/hour - $31.94/hour
