HOK Corporate Tax Analyst in St Louis, Missouri

Our corporate finance team is currently seeking a Tax Analyst. This is a hybrid role allowing for work-from-home on Monday and Friday, and in-office work and collaboration on Tuesday through Thursday. As a Tax Analyst at HOK, you will work closely with the Director of Tax and will be responsible for accurate and timely tax accounting functions of the organization. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist in the preparation of federal, international, state and local income tax returns
Assist with preparation of foreign income tax returns, including coordination with external service providers
Prepare U.S. Tax Forms for international operations, including Form 5471, Form 8857, etc
Assist with preparation of tax provision (ASC 740)
Prepare and analyze book income to taxable income, state apportionment, estimated tax payments, extensions, and related documentation
Assist in the timely filing of all corporate tax filings and payments
Manage sales & use tax compliance
Assist in income tax audits
Prepare tax research when necessary
Analyze and respond to various tax notices
Required Skills
Advanced knowledge and experience with all Microsoft Office applications; Expert level with Excel required
Experience with Corptax or other tax prep software and tax research tools
Experience with general ledger system
Excellent interpersonal skills with various member of staff and management
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Effective working both independently and in a team environment, with flexibility to meet expectations of the position
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Excellent attention to detail
Required Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
2 to 4 years of corporate or public income tax experience required
Experience with tax preparation software (Corptax preferred)
Basic knowledge of corporate income tax and accounting for income tax required
