D&W Fine Pack Manager, Regional Sales - Remote in St Louis, Missouri
Description
As a Regional Sales Manager specializing in Packer/Processors within the food packaging industry, you will play a pivotal role in expanding DWFP’s market presence in the Midwest region. Reporting directly to the VP of Sales Foods Merchandising, you will be tasked with not only achieving sales growth targets but also with identifying and nurturing key relationships within the packer/processor segment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute tailored regional account business plans to effectively identify, penetrate, and retain customers within the packer/processor segment.
Achieve budget and sales growth targets by leveraging established relationships and hunting for new business opportunities.
Identify and capitalize on emerging business prospects within the assigned geography.
Utilize various lead generation techniques, including cold calling, networking, and research, to drive territory growth.
Plan, negotiate, and close contracts with a focus on packer/processor clientele.
Collaborate with R&D to explore high-volume custom/proprietary product opportunities.
Stay abreast of market trends and implement innovative strategies to capitalize on evolving packaging demands.
Cultivate trusting client relationships and provide tailored product and service solutions to address packaging challenges.
Collaborate with internal functions to align D&W’s initiatives and processes with customer strategies and requirements.
Monitor competitive activity in the marketplace and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
Support company Food Safety efforts through commitment and compliance to SQF standard practices and policies
Follow plant quality practices including Good Manufacturing Practices, or GMP’s
Qualifications:
BA/BS or equivalent degree.
5+ years of experience in the food processing market with a strong emphasis on packer/processor clientele.
Proficiency in basic computer applications, including CRM, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Willingness to travel as an integral part of the role.
Proven track record of success in a sales role, particularly in hunting for new business opportunities.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
Strong listening skills and attention to detail.
Ability to think quickly, evaluate metrics, and identify growth opportunities.
