Jacobs Structural Engineering Intern - Summer 2025 in St. Louis, Missouri

Become part of our St. Louis, MO team as a Structural Engineering Intern who is excited about enabling the heart of our clients’ business and executing designs ranging from new, multi-building complexes to full-scale renovations of historic structures. We’ll rely on you to support our teams on critical projects while fostering a culture of continuous learning and inclusion. You’ll work alongside professional engineers and designers, gaining exposure to project coordination, relevant computer-assisted engineering software, data collection and more. As part of our Intern Program, you’ll also engage with interdisciplinary counterparts and senior leadership - giving you a chance to network, explore the company, and learn more about our dynamic industry.

  • In pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering (with emphasis on structures) from an ABET-accredited program

Interest in buildings-related design projects

*

Proactive attitude of taking independent initiative, exhibiting creative problem-solving and eagerness to learn, while remaining dedicated to teamwork

*

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

*

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

*

United States Citizenship

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • 3.0 GPA

*

Junior, Senior, or Graduate student

*

Familiarity with BIM 360 and Revit

*

Familiarity in structural finite element analysis software (e.g., ETABS, RISA, RAM)

*

Interest in utilizing graphical programming and scripting (e.g. Dynamo, Python, etc.)

*

Interest in civil works structures-related design projects
