Center For Diagnostic Imaging Accounts Receivable Manager in St. Louis Park, Minnesota

As Accounts Receivable Manager, you will manage Accounts Receivable (AR) team and process to ensure timely collections of accounts receivable, assuring professional standards and excellent customer service. This position is fully remote full-time, Monday thru Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONBILITIES: Champions the vision, values and The Experience culture to support the strategic goals of the Company (65%) Collection Management *Manages escalated AR issues, communicating with patients, carriers, co-workers and attorneys in a timely, effective manner to expedite the billing and collection of accounts receivable *Monitors reports and workloads ensuring that patient accounts are pursed for collection in an accurate and timely fashion *Works with RCM leadership to develop and monitor goals for the Collection Department *Provides guidance and oversight to AR team to ensure the steady reduction of the days-sales-outstanding (DSO) *Ensures team is contributing to the increase of monthly gross collections and increasing percentage of collections on accounts with DSO over 90 days *Contributes to the steady reduction of denials by addressing complex denials timely, as well as identifying root causes and process improvements to prevent future denials *Acts as a liaison to various departments to streamline processes *Assesses processes, identifies gaps and implements efficient work flows *Prioritizes work load concentrating on "priority" work which will enhance bottom line results and achievement of the most important objectives *In conjunction with RCM Operations Manager, responsible for maintaining a collaborative relationship with the collection agencies to ensure that patients placed in collection are handled professionally and with respect. *Analyzes trends in the payer AR and coordinates with the other RCM leaders on managing and resolving payer related issues. *In conjunction with other RCM leaders, measures the patient account receivable levels, collection agency placement and recovery totals, and communicates any changes in patient accounts receivable that may impact market financials or company DSO (days sales outstanding). (30%) Staff Management *Oversees and monitors workflow of AR Department *Manages overall staffing levels for adequate coverage at all times *Initiates and participates in staff performance evaluations, compensation and development of associates including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions and/or termination of associates *Participates in the hiring and training of new associates *Leads staff meetings and employee one-on-ones as needed (5%) Completes other tasks and projects as assigned COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES): *Knowledge of Workers Compensation, HMO's, PPO's, MA and other third party payors *Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocols *Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines *Skill in organizing and prioritizing work and following assignments through to completion *Skill in written and verbal communication *Ability to work independently and in a team environment *Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines *Ability to be flexible and adaptable to constant change *Ability to effectively handle details with accuracy *Ability to manage schedule to ensure work is completed *Ability to deliver high quality customer service to internal and external customers by communicating with integrity and compassion *Ability to remain calm in difficult situations *Ability to resolve service recovery issues and understand when o escalate to the next level *Ability to convey complex subject matter clearly *Ability to effectively use strong analytical and problem solving skills *Ability to take initiative to improve processes, think strategically and identify trends *Ability to provide open, honest feedback to improve decision making *Ability to influence across the organization and work effectively with all levels of management and staff *Ability to maintain and build constructive relationships that produce results *Ability to effectively supervise exempt and non-exempt staff Required: *Associate's degree or equivalent experience *5+ years of medical accounts receivable management experience, preferably managing accounts receivable across multiple states and/ or specialties *Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Preferred: *Bachelor's degree *Graduate of a medical billing program WORKING CONDITIONS: *Requires use of office equipment, such as computers, fax machines, telephones and copiers *Requires computer-related activities for extended periods of time *Requires the ability to see, hear, speak, write and key *May require some lifting, bending and stooping The preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and essential duties and responsibilities of work performed by associates within this classification.
