Lutheran Social Service of MN Early Learning Center Director in St. Paul, Minnesota
Description This is a great career for someone with Early Childhood, Daycare, Preschool, and Social work experience! Reporting to the LSS Program Director of Early Learning Services, the Early Learning Center Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Center located on the East Side of St. Paul. Key duties include managing staffing, scheduling, curriculum implementation, and data collection. The Center Director leads the teaching staff and is accountable for meeting enrollment, accreditation, and operational goals. Additionally, the Center Director handles various administrative tasks, such as maintaining children's program records and ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies. This role is part of an interdisciplinary team focused on developing a comprehensive early intervention strategy for children and families in our community. Position Requirements Bachelor's degree in early childhood, social work, or related human services field. Minimum of 4 years' experience working with young, highly stressed children; experience in child care, preschool or other educational setting preferred. Demonstrated ability to understand and work well with young children and families challenged by economic and personal problems and of varying ethnic backgrounds. Positive attitude and creative thinking, with a passion for working with children Current Red Cross First Aid and CPR training (may be taken after hire). NAEYC/NAC, and state licensing knowledge preferred Demonstrated time management and organizational skills. Demonstrated team building and leadership skills. Ability to work independently on a variety of tasks with little direction. Effective oral and written communicator. Maintain valid Minnesota driver's license, good driving record and insurance coverage.
