The MNIT DHS team supports complex and varied technical needs, including systems that provide health care coverage, deliver child protection and welfare services, and provide support for Minnesotans with special needs including mental illness, chemical dependencies, and physical or developmental disabilities.

At MNIT Services, DHS, and MNsure, you'll be at the forefront of technological innovation, enabling future-state business capabilities through your expertise in Salesforce Technology architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Strategy: Proactively and holistically lead and support enterprise architecture (EA) activities. Collaborate with client stakeholders to define requirements, and deliverables, and set and handle expectations. Guide the development and management of salesforce platform technologies and infrastructure solutions that align with business goals and architectural standards.

  • Comprehensive Solution Management: Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform.

  • Business Alignment: Collaborate with client stakeholders to define requirements, and deliverables, and

  • Architectural Governance: Lead technical design sessions; architect and document technical solutions aligned with client business objectives; identify gaps between client's current and desired end states. Provide oversight and governance of Salesforce projects.

  • Technical Guidance: Follow and help define coding standards. Lead code reviews during projects to ensure quality and appropriate design patterns are followed. Handle the technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration elements of a Salesforce implementation.

  • Systems Support: Partake in other pre-sales activities such as discovery and technical deep-dive sessions, Proof-Of-Concept (POC) development with prospects. Ability to understand a project and deep dive to troubleshoot technical issues.

This position is currently eligible for full-time telework:

  • Telework (https://mn.gov/mmb-stat/policies/1422-telework.pdf) for Minnesota IT Services allows an employee to perform work from a telework location and an employee may be required to be in the office based on business needs and other dependencies in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Minimum Qualifications

Position requires minimum of six (6) years of experience working with design and implementation in IT architecture technology solutions, specifically Salesforce platform.

  • Expert-level understanding of the Salesforce product suite, including Sales, Service, Marketing, and Community Clouds.

  • Experience securely designing and implementing large scale enterprise systems.

  • Understanding of key design patterns and large data volume limitations and best practices.

  • Expertise with architecting, designing, and implementing large scale enterprise systems using Salesforce platform. Java/J2EE, SOA based web services technologies (like ESB, SOAP, REST, etc.).

  • Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties.

  • Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving.

A master’s degree in Information Technology or an IT related field substitutes for three (3) years of experience, OR an IT related bachelor’s degree substitutes for two (2) years, OR an IT related associate’s degree substitutes for one (1) year.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10 years of CRM experience with a minimum of 6 years on the Salesforce platform, and a Salesforce Architect certification.

  • Knowledge of data integration tools and experience integrating Salesforce with different business systems (ETL, CPQ, marketing automation, reporting, etc.).

  • Familiarity with application security best practices and IAM authentication patterns (SAML, SSO, oAuth).

  • Expert-level experience defining the system architecture landscape, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering a comprehensive solution that will enable the achievement of the desired business outcomes.

  • Strong background in the design/development of large web-based systems, or complete software product lifecycle exposure.

  • Strong understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies.

  • Experience working in the health and human services industry or business domain. Experience in delivering presentations to senior-level executives and technical audiences.

  • Proven ability to work with technology vendors in delivery of various capabilities and solutions.
