Position: Full-Time Faculty: Theology - Greek and NT Location: St. Paul, MN Job Id: 123546 # of Openings: 1 Faculty - Department of Theology and Ministry: Greek and New Testament Position Overview: We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our faculty as a Tenure-Track Faculty member in the Department of Theology and Ministry to teach courses in the New Testament, Greek, Biblical Interpretation, and Introduction to the Bible. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Exegetical Theology, Biblical Greek, and/or New Testament Studies and must be ordained in the LCMS. The successful candidate must be able to winsomely communicate the Christian Gospel to a diverse, undergraduate audience at CSP consisting of LCMS church work students and students taking Theology coursework as part of their General Education requirements. Responsibilities may also include curriculum development; assessment; and service to the life of the university, the Church, the profession, and/or the community. Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the Department of Theology and Ministry, especially New Testament, Greek, Biblical Interpretation, and Introduction to the Bible. Advise and mentor students in the university's LCMS church work programs. Willingness and enthusiasm to engage with students, faculty, staff, and the LCMS community. Engage in scholarly research and publication. Participate in departmental and university service under the direction of the Department Chair. Required Qualifications: Earned graduate degree in Theology (M.Div, S.T.M.) or a related field Rostered in the LCMS as an ordained minister of the Gospel Active member of an LCMS congregation Commitment to the mission and values of the university Preferred Qualifications: Earned Ph.D. in Theology, New Testament Studies, Greek, or a related field.
