Description Position Summary: The Grant and Service Revenues Accountant is responsible for fiscal grants management and stewardship. This position ensures fiscal compliance with government grants and contracts. The Grant and Services Revenues Accountant prepares monthly/quarterly/annual balance sheets, profit and loss statements, grant billing, cost reports, reconciliations and other financial reports for various federal, state, and local grants received by the organization. This position collaborates with grant managers and program and finance directors to closely track grant versus budget spending and to ensure proper internal controls and procedures are in place. This is a remote-based role that must be locally-based must be on-site at GESMN's St. Paul Campus as business needs dictate. Day in the life: In a typical day, a Grant and Service Revenues Accountant can expect to... Fiscal Grants Management and Stewardship: Serve as a financial steward for fiscal grant management. Compliance: Ensure compliance with Federal circulars, sub-recipient guidelines and timely submission of reports. Invoicing: Prepare recurring invoices based on knowledge of each grant and contract (e.g., monthly, quarterly, semiannually, and/or annually). Administrative Duties: Assist with various administrative reports and duties in the Finance Department. Job Pay & Perks: Typical starting pay range: $32.54 - $39.00 per hour This is a remote-based role that must be locally-based must be on-site at GESMN's St. Paul Campus as business needs dictate. Opportunities for career development and advancement About You: Required Knowledge & Skills: Non-profit fiscal grant experience. Compliance experience with government grants and contracts. Grant billings experience. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and goal focused. Demonstrated ability to plan projects, forecast time, and organize internal and external resources. Highly motivated to meet deadlines and achieve goals. Ability to work well with all levels of the organization. Capacity and preference to work independently as well as collaboratively when required. Ability to work independently and proactively while keeping manager apprised of issues and opportunities. Ability to meet deadlines. Great Plains experience a plus. Prior Experience & Education: 3-5 years of relevant experience required or Associate's degree in a related field. CGMS (Certified Grants Management Specialist) certification preferred.
