Regions Hospital Laboratory Services Technician I in St. Paul, Minnesota

Regions Hospital Laboratory is currently seeking a professional, quality-focused Laboratory Services Technician to join our team. As a Laboratory Services Technician (LST) at Regions Hospital you will: Perform functions associated with obtaining, receiving and processing of laboratory specimens on patients of all ages. Maintain laboratory and cardiology equipment and supplies. Accurately obtain a peripheral IV catheter placement as directed by nursing policies and procedures. Accurately perform and deliver an ECG tracking as directed by cardiology policies and procedures. Receive and respond to telephone inquiries about laboratory processes and results. Provides professional and respectful customer service to all patients and their family members, healthcare providers and staff. Participate in training of new personnel and any student clinical rotations. Perform related functions as assigned. Work schedule: FTE: .7 (28 hrs. weekly), Night Shift Preferred Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: Health care experience to include phlebotomy or IV insertion.
