Ensure trucks pull on scale completely and properly, review order, trailer inspection, enter correct product and weight on PLC system, seal dome on truck after filling trailer, and complete required documentation. Making blends to customer specifications. Responsibilities Ability to safely and independently operate and control PLC or other integrated computerized chemical handling systems. Ability to safely operate independently while adhering to all company SOPs to comply with all applicable Federal, State, and Corporate environmental, safety and health regulations. Communicate compliance, safety, and equipment needs as personally identified. Safely operate motorized equipment (e,g, forklifts, railcar movement (either Trackmobile or Shuttewagon, crane). Uphold Hawkins Incorporated's standard of excellence through a continuous commitment to maintain ISO-certified facilities and provide quality products and services to internal and external customers. Participate in the continuous improvement process that relates to this position to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness. Accurately, completely fill out required paperwork in a timely manner. Load chemical tankers. Make specialty blends as necessary. Must be able to drive shuttlewagon (or trackmobile at T1) and assist in the rail yard as necessary. Prepare hazardous materials for DOT shipment to ensure safe and timely supply of raw materials and finished Including the loading and unloading bulk and LTL quantities of material by rail, and truck. Understand equipment and process operation to test, repair, inspect and fill hazardous materials. Unload rail cars. Completion of HAZWOPPER training course is Participate in safety drills. Transfer chemicals from field tanks as necessary. Perform basic QC tests as required: specific gravity, bleach titration. Perform opening or closing duties as needed. Understand basic functions of the Powell bleach manufacturing machine (Red Rock only). Maintain/monitor plant and work area housekeeping standards. Participate in cycle counts, inventory discrepancies and physical inventory. Must be willing to flex between workstations as required and be flexible with working schedule including working weekends and extended hours as necessary to ensure customer satisfaction. Performs other duties as assigned by supervision. ABOUT YOU Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written channels. A high school diploma and equivalent experience is the absolute minimum required. Computer skills (MS Office) required, and MRP (JDEdwards) experience preferred. Ability to operate an industrial fork truck required; previous experience preferred. 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment required, previous experience handling chemicals is preferred. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, reaching, and pulling Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs and ladders Ability to wear PPE and equipment such as safety shoes, face shields, safety glasses, safety goggles, hearing protection, gloves, and a hard hat; chemical suits and a hair/beard net when required Ability to safely operate an industrial forklift when required Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requiremen s (for respirator use, SQF-certified environments, etc.) Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions Willing to work around chemicals and industrial machinery TRAVEL No travel required.
