The SEH Finance team actively partners with operations and leadership to ensure the company is on track for success. Create and upload related journal entries. Reconcile accounts monthly. Develop process improvements * Research and develop options for tracking asset locations and usage. Implement agreed upon solutions. Maintain the process and propose adjustments as necessary. * Prepare and file Personal Property Tax reports. Ensure payments are made. Improve tracking and related processes. * Review each week's check run prior to payment to ensure accuracy and compliance with protocols. Suggest process improvements. * Perform monthly bank reconciliations. * Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations. * Maintain sales & use tax schedules. * Work with fellow team members to resolve any issues that are discovered, and track until completion. * Various journal entries and account reconciliations. * Participate in annual external financial statement audit and other audits. Essential Qualifications: * All offers of employment for this position are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check which meets company standards. This will be conducted post-offer acceptance. * Bachelors Degree in Finance and/or Accounting * Previous experience preparing account reconciliations and journal entries * Previous experience assisting with Audits * Exceptional attention to detail Preferred Qualifications: * 5 years of previous accounting experience * Knowledge of working at a company that has multiple subcompanies * Working with Loans/Leases * Experience with the following software: AEC360, Quickbooks, LeaseQuery * Past experience going through an ERP implementation/transition Who We Are Better Places. Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $85,000 and $95,000 based on skill set and experience.
