This position will follow our hybrid work model, we expect the selected candidate to be in office 2-3 days a week at one of the following office locations: St. Petersburg, FL;

Job Summary:

This position will lead our Enterprise Data and Analytics team of Data Engineers/business analysts and strengthen the platform, will help decommission firmwide legacy systems and build proprietary replacement software. The Associate Director will have extensive contact with all management levels and other internal customers and will be required to identify, research, analyze and resolve complex information technology issues. An in-depth knowledge of development tools and language, people management skills and ability to work closely with business partners are key skills needed to be successful in this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drives IT solutions to ensure they meet the business needs balanced with a pragmatic and integrated approach to the design of technical solutions.

• Collaborates with multiple stakeholders, understands the overall business strategy, enterprise Architecture and develops the end-to-end solutions for data sourcing, data processing/integration, data provisioning and delivery.

• Architects solutions which are resilient, stable and always on. Working with multiple teams across the organization, ensures that mission critical data platforms are highly available and resilient.

• Leading a team: Is responsible for managing a team of data engineers and Business Analysts. This includes providing direction, guidance, and mentoring to the team, as well as managing their performance and professional development.

• Delivers projects to successful completion as defined by predetermined project success criteria including those established by the business, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

• Focus on designing and developing highly scalable, efficient and reliable data infrastructure to scale and compute to meet business objectives.

• Lead, coach, and develop team, while creating a vision for team and educating cross-functional teams on how to leverage data to identify opportunities to increase revenue and performance.

• Mentor leaders and associates in the team to develop them and to build a strong team.

• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and deliver solutions in an agile and nimble manner.

• Drives IT solutions to ensure they meet the business needs balanced with a pragmatic and integrated approach to the design of technical solutions.

• Focuses on workforce development and ensures that a strong team is built.

• Remains up to date on key technology, business and industry trends.

• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience and Skills:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related degree and eight (8) years of relevant experience including management or leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

• Hands on Experience with Oracle Exadata as database is required.

• Experience with ETL technologies such as ODI , Informatica or similar tools is required.

• Experience with a breadth of Data Platforms, Data Integration tools, Databases, Big Data Platforms, Cloud based data platforms and Data Streaming technologies.

• Strong understanding of modern Data Architectures and most importantly deep understanding of the overall Data in an enterprise and ability to understand Data in the context of Business goals.

• Experience with developing and architecting very large mission critical data platforms which are highly resilient, scalable and flexible.

• Experience with Data Streaming using integration patterns like Kafka, Spark Streaming.

• Experience with Search data platforms is a plus.

• Experience with AWS Data Platforms is a plus

• Experience or understanding of programming languages like Python, Java, R , Shell , Perl etc. is a plus .

• Financial Services experience is required.

• Experience in the enterprise implementation, leadership experience, strategic planning, strong business acumen.
