Job Summary

The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Business (DEI) Unit (BU) Advisor, is responsible for aligning enterprise objectives and strategy with teammates and business leaders in designated business units and to advance and support Raymond James vision of “Becoming a financial services firm as unique as the people it serves.” This role will partner closely with Business Unit DEI Committee leads, HR Business Partners and Talent Consultants in an effort to deliver growth, retention and diversity. We are looking for someone who is impact and data driven, can simultaneously manage various projects and communications, and is resourceful with ideation and execution of projects.

This is a highly cross functional role with an emphasis on building and executing on high-priority DEI strategies and initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Business Unit DEI Leads on the development and execution of creative strategies to meet Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) goals and expectations

  • Work collaboratively across the business with identified stakeholders to help champion and ensure a regular cadence of communication with the BU DEI Committee to drive diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on the recruitment strategy to attract and retain more diverse talent within the designated business unit.

  • Partner with the Talent Consultants to meet professional development needs related to the DEI Strategy.

  • Design, coordinate, and/or facilitate conversations, meetings, presentations, learning opportunities and other strategies that promote diversity, equity and inclusion.

  • Make data-driven recommendations to improve future initiatives and programs.

  • Manage and coordinate reporting requirements with the DEI, HRBP and Product Management Team.

  • In partnership with key internal stakeholders, track diversity and inclusion goals, progress, and outcomes to be shared with leadership and internal stakeholders.

  • Participate, coordinate and lead community engagement events specific to the goals of the BU DEI committees and corporate community partners.

  • Establish, maintain and manage community relationships with current and new organizations.

Qualifications

Knowledge of

  • Basic office practices, procedures and methods.

  • Basic mathematical calculations.

  • Key internal and/or external contacts to request assistance from or utilize expertise.

Skill in

  • Organizational and time management skills sufficient to prioritize workload, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

  • Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce

  • correspondence, electronic communication and maintain spreadsheets and databases.

Ability to

  • detail.

Education/Previous Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration/Management, Psychology or related field

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a DEI role or supporting function including creating and executing recruiting strategies focused on building diverse talent pipelines

  • Experience developing DEI programs with measurable results

  • Knowledge of diversity recruiting best practices and trends
