Must have the following in order to apply:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, certificate of completion, or provide proof of enrollment in high school or a GED program if graduation is anticipated within 2 years
• Minimum of One months of experience in related field
• Communication skills necessary
• Able to work with children of all ages
• Able to work a flexible schedule and extended hours, as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of One ( 1) year previous child care experience is preferred
• CPR/AED and First Aid Certification preferred

**Job Description: The YMCA is seeking a dedicated child care Youth Specialists to provide direct supervision in a safe, fun and educational environment for all School Based program participants. Duties and Responsibilities:**

• Supervises an assigned group of children to ensure safety
• Nurtures children and provides academic growth opportunities that support the school curriculum
• Engages children by facilitating program activities that are designed to enrich their lives.
• Establishes a positive rapport with children, parents, and staff while maintaining a positive and professional attitude at all times
