AVP, Software Development Engineering Manager (Multiple Positions), Synchrony Bank, Stamford, CT. Design, develop and install software solutions to meet business and technical requirements. Create, maintain, and audit software systems in alignment with architects and analysts. Improve system quality by identifying issues and common patterns. Develop standard operating procedures. Test software systems to diagnose and resolve system faults. Improve existing codebases and peer review code changes. Oversee Agile software development lifecycle. Ensure easy integration of written software for internal and external consumption. Design and implement appropriate metrics to track and report performance and operational efficiency of software. Drive technical innovation and recommend evolving technologies, including mobile, Cloud and social media. Create technical specifications and standards. Collaborate with technology leaders on technology strategy and roadmap.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Applied Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and four (4) years of related work experience.

Must have four (4) years of experience with/in each of the following:

Full stack development using Java Spring; Developing and designing applications using Java Spring APIs; Building and consuming web services via SOAP and REST; Utilizing dependency management tools like Maven or Gradle; Working within continuous integration environments like Jenkins; Building and deploying application on Pivotal Cloud Foundry; and Writing unit, integration, and UI test cases.
