KPMG is currently seeking an Executive Director, Attest/ESG to join our Department of Professional Practice organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of US assurance policies, methodology and/or tools by overseeing the drafting of related content and liaising with learning and development and workflow development professionals on the application of that methodology

  • Act as the US lead reviewer on certain assurance methodology topics

  • Lead projects related to the development of tactical guidance and/or tools specific to the assurance of ESG subject matter that is consistent with the above methodology

  • Participate in standard-setting activities such as providing insight on current standard-setting activity (US and International) to topic and audit group leadership, leading comment letter responses, representing the US perspective in discussions with member firms

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of fifteen years of experience along with a current CPA license or commitment to obtain one within an agreed period

  • Demonstrated, authoritative working knowledge of auditing and assurance standards that are relevant to the US market, and advanced working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles

  • Significant recent relevant experience, with demonstrated project management (complex projects), people management and leadership skills

  • In this fast-change environment, demonstrated ability to think strategically about application of the auditing and assurance standards, and to translate concept into practical application and guidance

  • Ability to confidently lead meetings, calls and group discussions with senior level audiences, and to articulate a well-reasoned point of view persuasively

  • Candidates can work with DPP from their home office, with occasional travel for group meetings
