Hummingbird ABA Therapy Behavior Analyst in State College, Pennsylvania

 

SUMMARY:

Behavior Analysts are responsible for organizing and maintaining data collection and statistical analysis systems for programs; conducting behavioral assessments and program implementation; directing clinical activities and staff/parent training. This position is a supervisory position for a masters or doctorate level, licensed clinician with board certification as a behavior analyst from a credentialing board. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintain confidentiality as outlined by HIPAA protocols.
  2. Collect and record data based on client observable behavior.
  3. Develop and write FBA's and individual treatment plans. Update treatment plans every 6 months or when the child has met their goals, changed location of services, or undergoes a significant life event.
  4. Write progress notes, supervision notes, assist direct therapists in documentation needs.
  5. Actively guide and train in the implementation of baseline, treatment, parent training, and generalization sessions.
  6. Develop behavior protocols and skill training protocols for clients. Disseminate this information to the treatment team.
  7. Meet billable requirements as assigned by Clinical Director. 
  8. Utilize safe and appropriate handling, management and guidance procedures when working with clients.
  9. Implement integrity checks and target supervision in the areas in which the staff needs support. Provide supervision to BACB Trainees at least 3 hours per month when available.  
  10. Conduct VB-MAPP assessments, ABLLS, ABAS-3, and any other assessments that may be appropriate to the initial development and maintenance of a behavior program.
  11. Review graphs and make intervention changes when appropriate, at a minimum every 2 weeks.
  12. Follow direction from Clinical Director and meet at least 2 hours per month for supervision.
  13. Report to child line with any suspected abuse within 24 hours of the report or incident.
  14. Complete quarterly progress reports on client goals for school clients as needed. 
  15. Maintain certification of LBS and BCBA.
  16. Maintain CAQH and credentialing with insurance companies or provide necessary information to Hummingbird ABA Therapy's Billing team to maintain CAQH credentialing.

  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

     

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly working in a nontraditional setting that may include environments made up of multiple family dynamics.

  • Behavior analysts may complete indirect hours from their home or Hummingbird ABA Office, with all HIPAA regulations being followed. Telehealth may be available to replace "face-to-face" interactions when allowed- this position includes up to 2 remote days per week. 
  • Behavior analysts will see clients in person at least 3 days per week in a variety of settings, including homes, schools, community locations, or Hummingbird ABA Therapy's Clinic.

*TRAVEL *This position requires travel up to 10% of the time with clients being no more than 40 minutes from office. Remote work is often possible ith proper HIPAA considerations in place. 

 

*REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE *

Applicants must meet both of the following requirements:

  • Master's Degree in ABA or related field
  • Licensure in the state of Pennsylvania as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, social worker, behavior specialist, certified registered nurse practitioner. PA Behavior Specialist License (BSL) is preferred and will be required within 3 months of hiring.

  • Certification as a QBA by the Qualified Applied Behavior Analysis Credentialing Board (QABA)
  • Certification as an IBA by the International Behavior Analysis Organization (IBAO)
