The JCC Nursery School, a parent-run preschool located in State College, is seeking a Preschool Teacher to work Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8:15-2:15 and Tuesday/Thursday 8:15-12:15 beginning August 27, 2024. Teachers and children of all cultures and faiths are welcome. The school follows the SCASD school year calendar and is also closed for select Jewish holidays.

Primary responsibilities will be to assist in managing the classroom and preschool-aged students in play-based activities that promote social, educational, and physical development. The ideal candidate has experience working with children and feels comfortable helping to manage a classroom of mixed-age students ages 2-5. Compensation starts at $15 per hour, commensurate with experience. Benefits include 10 paid days per school year in addition to all SCASD days off, as well as discounted childcare. Candidates will be required to obtain FBI/fingerprint clearance, child abuse clearance, criminal background clearance, mandated reporter training, and pediatric first aid/life support.
