Located in the Staten Island, New York area, this position is ideal for individuals seeking permanent employment. Tasks include data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution, and providing statements to various departments. Strong communication skills and effective collaboration with internal team members and outside customers are needed.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction/training to employees regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.

• Ensure efficient operation of the department by performing clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc.

• Administer reports as instructed and make them easily accessible by distributing them

• Be able to create and run custom reports

• Maintain payroll information by contacting employees via email and phone to obtain timesheet approvals

• Perform other duties as assigned

• Comprise data into spreadsheets and the payroll system

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills

• Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• Strong organization skills

• Solid understanding of payroll

• Skillful in learning new processes and systems

• Prior Payroll software experience preferred

• Previous payroll experience

• Accurate, swift, data entry abilities
