Daikin Applied is now hiring for an Environmental Health and Safety Intern in Staunton, VA!

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Health and Safety Intern to join our dynamic EHS team. Location

: Staunton, VA - In office 5 days per week

This Internship opportunity is for May-August 2025

What you will do:

  • Complete basic Industrial Hygiene monitoring including noise assessment and ergonomic force measurements
  • Conduct a basic ergonomic assessment of workstations and operations
  • Perform basic risk assessments (Job Safety Analysis, etc.) of manufacturing operations to identify hazards and implement effective controls
  • Participate in EHS inspections (wastewater, stormwater, satellite storage areas, etc.) and improve protocols and checklists for process improvement
  • Assist in New Hire Environmental Health and Safety Orientation

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate student currently pursuing a bachelor's degree
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sophomore or Junior currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, or a similar degree program
  • Experience in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
