Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Repair and Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and around production plants and/or other production-related environments. This includes, but is not limited to, working with electrical systems, boilers, and various types of production machinery. Shifts vary in hours from plant to plant and may include long days, overtime, and weekends. The work environment requires standing for long periods in hot, loud production spaces, the ability to lift at least 50 lbs., and wearing eye and ear protection along with steel-toed shoes in some plants.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies

  • Complete inspections of production plants and offices

  • Respond quickly in the event of an emergency and follow safety protocols

  • Perform HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repairs as necessary

  • Perform other maintenance duties as requested

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 5 - 10 years' previous experience in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment

  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately

  • Ability to multiply, divide, add and subtract

  • Must have the ability to read and comprehend basic verbal and written instructions

  • Ability to work in an environment exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and machines, vibrations, and loud noises

  • Adherence to all safety protocols including OSHA guidelines

  • Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

  • Ability to occasionally and/or frequently lift and/or move materials weighing between 10 and 75 pounds

  • Motivation to learn

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.56 - $31.56
