JOB TITLE: Seasonal Official/Scorekeeper/Supervisor for Volleyball/Basketball/Softball ++Youth and Adult programs++

REQUIREMENTS: Scorekeeper: Knowledge of sports through participation or past experience scorekeeping preferred, but not required. Must be 14+ Supervisor: Minimum age: 18 years old Two (2) years experience working with recreation programs and/or equivalent experience in Supervisory positions.

WAGE: $14.42 Hourly

BENEFITS: No benefits with seasonal positions.

DAYS/HOURS: Seasonal, part time work, days and hours to be arranged with employer. Evening and weekend work.

DUTIES: Primary Purpose -Under the direction of the Recreation Superintendent and the Gymnasium/Field Supervisor, keeps score in writing and on mechanical scoreboards for City league athletic games and matches. Essential functions -Responsible for neatly recording information pertaining to sporting events such as individual player statistics and team statistics. -Also operates electronic scoreboards when applicable. Scorekeepers are also expected to speak clearly and use P.A. systems when available. -Fill out accident reports and misconduct reports as necessary. -Inform field/gym supervisor concerning roster additions and illegal players; -Be able to interpret rules concerning scorekeeping.
