Check out this new opportunity! Associate ll Purchasing Sterling Heights, MI Contract Position Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. Responsibilities: * Manage all procurement activities, including solicitation and preparation of RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs. * Conduct cost and price analysis of proposals, negotiate terms and conditions, and prepare purchase orders to support program requirements. * Administer purchase orders and subcontracts, ensuring cost control, quality, and on-time delivery. * Analyze Material Requirements Planning (MRP) needs and coordinate the "Source Selection" process. * Serve as the primary liaison between suppliers and internal departments, resolving quality, design, and payment issues. * Ensure compliance with procurement laws and regulations and coordinate kick-off meetings and on-site reviews at supplier locations. * Review and analyze planning to ensure subcontracts and purchase orders align with supplier lead times. * Perform other duties as assigned to meet program objectives. * Support procurement operations by managing supplier relationships, ensuring compliance, and overseeing all aspects of subcontract and purchase order administration. Qualifications: * Education: * Bachelor's degree in a business-related field (required). * Technical Skills: * Proficiency in Oracle systems and Material Requirements Planning (MRP). * Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet-based business applications. * Experience and Expertise: * Experience in cost and price analysis, proposal negotiations, and subcontract administration. * Understanding of procurement processes, systems, and compliance requirements. * Other Requirements: * Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance. * Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed. * Strong problem-solving, communication, and program management skills. * Ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
