job details
Provides administrative support to the logistics department. This can include handling shipments, documenting inventory, and resolving customer service issues. Logistics assistants may also need to negotiate pricing with logistics providers, track shipments, and research freight classes. Manages the flow of goods and services from suppliers to customers. This can include overseeing the product life cycle, including preparation, shipping, and receiving. Logistics specialists may also need to maintain inventory control systems, coordinate with sales teams to process orders, and develop reports on transportation costs. Should have an understanding of logistics systems and processes, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
salary: $20 - $22 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities
Responsible for order taking, scheduling, dispatching and customer relations
Maintain efficient delivery controls through proper scheduling and accurate order entry into the dispatch system
Resolve transportation conflicts and handle unusual and difficult customer complaints
Provide customer support to ensure maximum efficiency
Embraces and enhances a performance-based Safety Culture
Is positive and upbeat in all communications with customers and other departments
Relentlessly pursues a solution to every issue that a customer brings to them
Deep desire to exceed expectations of internal and external customers; not satisfied with just meeting expectations
Identify and communicate repairs and maintenance of logistics communication equipment
Ability to work well under pressure; previous customer service experience in a high pressure/high volume environment required
Good telephone and 2-way radio skills; ability to deal with internal and external customers in a courteous and professional manner
The essential functions of this role include:
- working up to 1 hrs of overtime per week
