Collins Aerospace is searching for a leader to join the Mission Systems Finance IPP&C team. We are seeking a candidate with strong communication, analytical, and collaborative skills who enjoys working with cross-functional teams in Finance, Contracts, Program Management, Operations, Engineering, and Business Development/Strategy. The ideal candidate will develop a team to provide earned value and schedule data for the program team to make informed decisions.

This role will be performed onsite from our Collins Aerospace location in Sterling, VA.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and manage a team of about 6 analysts, overseeing onsite, hybrid, and remote work arrangements.

  • Drive talent development with tailored training plans, individual development plans, and quarterly reviews.

  • Mentor and coach team members to foster growth and engagement.

  • Build and strengthen relationships with key functions including Contracts, IPP&C, Engineering, Operations, Controllership, and Business Development.

  • Ensure compliance with earned value metrics and schedule/health metrics according to Collins System Description, NDIA 32 Guidelines, PASEG, and statutory requirements.

  • Support internal and external audits for compliance and control adherence.

  • Manage Developmental Contract Financial Obligations and develop annual plans and quarterly forecasts for developmental programs, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.

  • Communicate program results and financial performance to leadership.

  • Develop and implement EVMS/Financial tools and systems.

  • Engage in the annual review of process maps and Collins Management Initiative.

  • Participate in or delegate CORE events and support bids and basis of estimates.

    Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

  • Earned Value Management (EVMS) experience

  • Experience leading and/or mentoring a team

    Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with Microsoft Office including extensive experience in Excel

  • Experience with SAP

  • Experience with Earned Value Cost Engines/Software

  • Good analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills

  • Understanding of corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Understanding of Continuous Improvement concepts

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Proven experience presenting to large groups and leadership

  • Capability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to gain a DOD Security clearance

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
