JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 21099 JOB TITLE: Assistant Dean of the School of Education Principal Work Location: UW-Stevens Point Main Campus Supervisor: Rebecca Rogge, Associate Dean of Students JOB DUTIES: The assistant dean and head of school administers the School of Education and its subunits to fulfill the educational mission of the school and to ensure the most efficient and equitable use of available resources. The assistant dean is responsible for providing leadership to the school in all matters relating to academic programs, personnel, professional development, advancement, university and community relations, budget, facilities, and student success. The assistant dean reports to the dean of the college and serves as a member of the college\'s leadership team. Additionally, this candidate must have a strong background and knowledge of Wisconsin State Department of Public Instruction Chapter PI 34, or demonstrated ability to learn, implement, and meet state standards that regulate educator preparation programs and educator licensures. The ability to develop and maintain collaborative and productive working relationships with local school systems is required. Shift: Generally 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday. Extended hours may be necessary to meet deadlines associated with managing people, projects, and budgets. Weekend hours will be occasionally needed.
