JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 20901 JOB TITLE Financial Specialist FTE: 100% Principal Work Location: UW-Stevens Point, Main Campus Supervisor: Director, Office of International Education Position Summary The individual in this position provides financial & administrative support for the Director and OIE staff, working under the supervision of the Director. This position performs financial management of all Office of International Education accounts. This position requires excellent organizational and multitasking skills for management of 80-100 programs with varying complexity and currencies, while working with numerous internal and external (domestic & international) stakeholders. The individual in this position must have a keen knowledge of general accounting practices, UW System travel and procurement policies, study abroad/away financial risk management, and excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. This position is public facing approximately 10% of time, which includes interaction with stakeholders via Zoom and/or similar communication platforms. Telephone and email are the primary means of interaction for this role relative to students and others on campus. Clear communication and close attention to detail are critical. Flexibility, a sense of humor, and a tolerance for ambiguity are characteristics which will serve one well in this role.
