JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 20893 Position Title: Volunteer Training Specialist TTC Title and Code: Outreach Specialist (OE009) FTE: 80% (32 hours per week) Principal Work Location: UW-Stevens Point Main Campus Supervisor: Eric Olson,, Extension Lakes Position Summary: This position serves as a problem-solving user support specialist connecting program participants and resource managers to relevant campus and WI DNR data systems. Responsibilities include providing user support and training for non-DNR persons requiring access to the Surface Water Integrated Management System (SWIMS) database. The position contributes to data cleaning, develops visualization tools, and ensures reliable data availability for participants and staff. Additionally, the role involves maintaining Extension Lakes\' lake organizations and contacts database. The position may also assist in distributing monitoring equipment to WI DNR regional offices, occasionally participating in equipment construction, and supporting the statewide Quality Assurance/Quality Control project. Responsibilities extend to assisting in reviewing/updating volunteer monitoring manuals and editing the CLMN Quality Assurance Project Plan, particularly with respect to data entry and integrity. Schedule: 7:45am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday. Variable hours to equal 32 hours per week. TO ENSURE CONSIDERATION: Applications received by 6/23/24 are ensured full consideration.
