Generac Power Systems Generator Field Service Technician - Energy Systems in Stockton, California

We are a full-service distributor of Generac equipment and solutions providing sales, service and rentals.

The Generator Field Service Technician is responsible for providing on-site and phone troubleshooting, repair, equipment modifications, installation, and sales support of Generac industrial products. This position will require up to 50% travel; fleet vehicle provided.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

With respect to different levels, please review the below and a recruiter will be in contact to discuss your interests and qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of mechanical design, AC and DC circuitry, power generation, wiring schematics, and connection diagrams

  • Understand components and operation of an electrical distribution system

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, the ability to make independent decisions, and work with minimal supervision

  • Experienced in Electronics, Electromechanical Technology

  • Knowledge of power generation; light tower, pumps, and heating products

  • Spark Ignited knowledge

Technical Field Service Representative Trainee:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma

  • 1 – 3 years related mechanical experience and completion of Electrical/Electronic or HVAC program

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

  • 1 – 3 years related Industrial experience

Compensation Range:

$25.59 - $35.82 /hr

Technical Field Service Representative Level I:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma

  • 2 – 3 years servicing and troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

  • 4 years servicing and troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS)

Compensation Range:

$30.83 - $45.96 / hr

Technical Field Service Representative Level II:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma

  • 4 years servicing and troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS )

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

  • 6 years servicing and troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS)

Compensation Range:

$38.39 - $57.59 /hr

Technical Field Service Representative Level III:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma

  • 6 years servicing and troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS )

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

  • 8 years servicing and troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS)

Compensation Range:

$44.21 - $66.32 /hr

Master Field Service Technician:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, Generac Master Certification or equivalent

  • 8 years in advanced troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

  • 10 – 15 years in advance troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS)

Compensation Range:

$47.70 - $71.55 / hr

Physical Demands :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
