Job Summary

This is an outstanding opportunity to lead within a dynamic and ambitious team, dedicated to driving world-class operational excellence. We are seeking a proven leader who can flawlessly lead and grow our Stony Brook, NY location.

The purpose of this job is to manage the food service operation, maintaining established costs and quality standards so as to ensure superior service and maximize profits. To reach these goals, you will handle the following:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Model behaviors to be recognized as a "Keeper of the Culture" and a change agent for both the leadership team and staff.

  • Analyze performance metrics to provide individual and team evaluations.

  • Ensure accurate budgeting to meet company goals.

  • Coordinate purchasing activities to maintain cost efficiency.

  • Develop and successfully implement long-term operational strategies.

  • Manage labor and inventory controls strictly to optimize efficiency.

  • Manage operational and finance controls to ensure flawless execution of processes.

  • Take the lead with process management to streamline operations.

  • Train and develop team members to ensure continuous growth and excellence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS degree preferred

  • Five years of food service management experience required

  • Higher Education experience in board and retail operations is required

  • Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is required

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the food/hospitality industry.

  • Outstanding analytical skills to determine and evaluate performance metrics.

  • Strong ability to manage budgeting, purchasing, labor, and inventory control.

  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing long-term strategies.

  • Ability to train, develop, and lead a diverse team.
