Champion Modular is seeking to hire a full-time Production Worker in* Rough-in Plumbing *to join our team in Strattanville, PA.

*FLSA Status: *Non-exempt

*Summary *Under General supervision, work on the production line to build manufactured housing, as part of a team, and perform quality work at a fast moving and consistent manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent OR at least six months of related experience/training
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift/move up to 50lbs.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing/modular housing is desired, but not required.

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities *include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Run plumbing systems to plans in new manufactured homes
  • Interpret blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems and other plumbing materials
  • Install pipes and fixtures, such as sinks and toilets, for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids
  • Install supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation
  • Assemble fittings and valves for installation
  • Modify length of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing materials as needed for a building
  • Follow health and safety standards and comply with building codes
  • Keeps area neat and clean
  • Reads and use a tape measure
  • Communicates well with coworkers
  • Uses hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools

WORK SCHEDULE - *the typical schedule for this position is *6:30 am - 3:00 pm, Monday-Friday.

Education and/or Experience

One-year certificate from college or technical school; or 6-12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
