Manage the Business Solutions Group to Manage PPG's Value-Added programs to assure interdependent growth of PPG Collision Center and Jobber Customers within an and performance-oriented Collision Industry. More specifically the responsibility is to ensure that PPG Value-Added programs are industry-leading and able to make PPG customers as a means of increasing or protecting existing volume. You will manage the Business Solutions Budget ( $4.5 Million adjusted for Revenue) and oversee the annual MVP Conference. The MVP Conference management includes sourcing of sites to hold the event, negotiation of costs associated, and handling of payments to venue. Travel requirements for this role will be 50% of overnight travel. Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development - Surveillance of industry trends feeding into the strategic planning process for PPG Value-Added programs to meet evolving needs of PPG customers. Determine the needs and translate into programs. This also includes encouraging understanding of the greater Refinish Business strategies.
  • Program Development - Guide participation in the development process of programs, tools, performance improvement curriculum and business improvement solutions appropriate for performance improvement throughout the broad spectrum of PPG customers. This customer base includes the entire range of Collision Center customers from single independent shops to MSO's to consolidators.
  • Participation in the Selling Process - Gain and retain strategic accounts by participating in the sales process, providing Value-Added services with an objective of using value to offset cash and discounts in buying agreements and creating interdependency based on value-added programs.
  • Account Development & Consulting - Select strategic accounts with on-site consulting.
  • Organizational Development - Lead the execution and delivery within the training and certification process designed to develop the value-added capability of the PPG Refinish organization.
  • Personal Development - Lead the Business Solutions Group to a constant pursuit in developing / improving individual skills in digital programs and tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Engineering or related field or proven equivalent in experience.
  • Minimum 15 years' experience within the Collision Industry - full understanding of shop operations, financial and operational performance.
  • Capability for teaching and mentoring PPG and customer resources.
  • With capability to facilitate performance groups comprised of top-level PPG customers ($5 MM - $90MM businesses).
  • Manage a Team that Consults to leading collision customer organizations with sales ranging up to $90 MM X multiple accounts.
  • Mentor Business Solutions Managers who will then mentor Business Development & Account Development Managers.
