• General Purpose of Job: The primary purpose of this position is to manufacture tooling necessary to build or repair tooling for the manufacturing process. This position reports to the department foreman.

• Duties and Tasks: This position must be able to perform all duties, responsibilities and requirements of a production operator. In addition this position must be able to perform the following duties and tasks.

1. Basic understanding of planning and construction of tools, dies, fixtures, and gages to assist in the repair or construction of a die.
2. Accurately machine parts required on standard toolroom equipment (millers, surface grinders, lathes, and other various types of equipment).
3. Read and understands blueprints and details.
4. Produce complicated tools from rough sketch or detailed drawings.
5. Identify weak areas in tools and suggest changes to foreman in order to reduce unforeseen problems.
6. Completes assignment from layout to finish grind within necessary tolerances.
7. Follows sketch or print to effectively create machined part accurately to tolerances required.
8. Understands QS-9000 policies and record keeping pertaining to work
9. Understands and uses the company's safety policies and procedures, appropriate safety and protection equipment, and safety practices appropriate to the assigned work unit.
10. Performs other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Performance Measures: As assigned by the supervisor and reviewed by the appropriate Vice President.
