As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Labor and Delivery Unit, you will be assisting new mothers and newborns for their transition home by providing them with educational instructions during their stay. RNs are responsible for providing direct nursing care, implementing and monitoring patient care plans, administering medication and treatments, assessing and coordinating patients' discharge plans, and monitoring, recording and communicating patients' condition.

First Day of employment will be a virtual orientation to the organization and then one full week of clinical orientation. Once completed with department orientation, shifts for this part time position will be 2 shifts a week, night shift 7PM-7:30AM . There is also an on-call requirement .

Required qualifications for the ideal candidate include:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.

  • Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN).

  • Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) must be presented upon hire.

  • Within one year of hire RNs in Labor and Delivery, must achieve and maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA)

  • Minimum one year current Full time Labor and Delivery RN experience .

  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

  • Ability to obtain BSN within first three years of employment if do not already have this.

  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Can critically think and problem solve for patients' best interests.

  • Effectively handles stressful situations.

  • Is eager to learn and take on challenges

  • Experience with 100-120 deliveries per month
