Job Summary:

The Programmer/Analyst will examine the data returned by the NAIS system and look for ways to quantify system performance and develop automated analytical reports for the analyst team and engineers to review to determine the health of the NAIS system.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop processes, policies, procedures, and techniques for identifying out of tolerance or underperforming sites.

  • Develop, document (IAW Software Sustainability Package, CDRL A017), support, and maintain new and existing analysis software, currently JAVA based, used for monitoring the NAIS system.

  • Applications developed must not be limited to a single source code but will be developed using the best possible available solution to ensure peak performance and productivity.

  • Identify deficiencies with international standards.

  • Provide formal reports on any deficiencies identified.

  • Provide documentation sufficient to host developed software on the CGOne environment.

  • Provide training on any developed software used for the anomaly identification process.

  • Provide quarterly NAIS Availability Reports

  • Provide a quarterly System Performance Report documenting system status as well as contributors to NAIS derogation factors as directed by the COR.

  • Provide a Received Signal Strength Report, bi-annually showing the average received signal strength in dBmW (Decibel milliwatt) plotted using map overlays.

  • Provide a report on metrics that should be monitored on the VHF Data Link (VDL) and provide follow on reports on the health of the VDL.

  • Attend quarterly program management and/or technical working group meetings as designated by the COR.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:

  • The Programmer/Analyst minimum qualifications are Baccalaureate Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology at a minimum and ten (10) consecutive years of Analytical experience with a working knowledge of various programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Oracle, SQL, MySQL, .NET, and Java). Two (2) years’ experience with AIS is preferred.
