BECO Property Manager in Suffolk, Virginia

We are seeking a Property Manager for our community Harbour Breeze Apartments in Suffolk, VA!

BECO Asset Management is a Chesapeake-based property management company with over 2,000 apartment units at eight properties and over 320,000 square feet of office, retail and industrial commercial space. Bridgeport, BECO’s premier development, is under construction now in North Suffolk.

    Job Summary

  • Manage all aspects of assigned property.

  • Supervise staff and provide clear standards and expectations for a high level of customer-focused conduct in every position.

  • Lead the effort to maintain a high level of resident satisfaction and retention.

  • Inspect and arrange maintenance to meet standards.

  • Advertise and market vacant spaces to attract tenants. Work with the marketing team to develop strategies and specials to increase move-ins based on your market.

  • Accepts and processes prospective resident applications.

  • Conduct move-ins and outs ensuring accuracy in compliance with designated programs and policy/procedures.

  • Ensure all Fair Housing rules and regulations are understood and being followed.

  • Audit leases for accuracy and consistency.

  • Handles rent collections, documentation collections, and ensures accuracy for the property assigned.

  • Communicate with leadership, housing authorities, and outside clients as necessary.

  • Develop and manage annual budgets by forecasting requirements and analyzing variances, data, and trends.

  • Maintain the highest professional standards and customer service standards for yourself and the entire team.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of Multi-family Management

  • Luxury and Class A apartment experience preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for all levels.

  • Ability to multitask and run property operations independently using sound judgment.

  • Organized, professional, friendly, enthusiastic, and motivating.

  • Able to work weekends as needed.

  • Previous experience with property management software is required, Yardi is preferred.

  • A general understanding of accounting principles and the ability to generate, read, and adhere to a budget.
