Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Lead Radiation Therapist in Sugar Land, Texas

Responsibilities

Provide radiation therapy treatments and function as an essential member of the radiation oncology treatment team, in order to provide total quality care to patients. Functions in a leadership role within the Department and is responsible to oversee treatment machine-specific technical aspects of treatment delivery within the Department. Reports to Supervisor/Manager and Director. Must be a graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program, a registered Radiation Therapist by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT), and certified by the Texas Department of Health as a Medical Radiological Technologist (MRT).

Job Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $99,164 - $122,501 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

Qualifications

Education

Required: High school graduate

Graduated from accredited Radiation Therapy Program

Preferred: BS or AA degree

Experience

Required: Minimum of 5 years performing as Radiation Therapist;

Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of experience using a True beam Linear Accelerator

License(s)

Required: Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technology Technologist

Licensed by the Department of Health as Medical Radiological Technologist

Basic Life Support certification through American Heart Association

Preferred: N/A

Special Skills

Required: Clinical judgment and knowledge of radiation therapy, practices and safety.

Must maintain and complete continuing education in applicable areas to ensure competency is maintained.

Preferred: N/A

Other

Required: Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook email

Flexibility of Work Schedule required

Ability to multi-task as a clinical leader (50% staffing/50% Leadership)

Presentation skill set

Proven problem solving and analysis skills
