JOB REQUIREMENTS: Primary DetailsTime Type: Full time Worker Type: Employee The Opportunity This role is responsible for supporting the delivery of accurate tax reporting functions by effectively and efficiently completing designated tax accounting procedures and deliverables within area of responsibility to support corporate and regulatory requirements. Primary Responsibilities *Facilitate the preparation of premium tax returns outsourced to third party, including ownership of the document request and payment processes Manage use tax filing obligations prepared by staff Engage with management across the business on indirect tax considerations Champion process improvement by evaluating current processes, identifying weaknesses & opportunities and implementing new procedures Engage with auditors and regulators to facilitate premium tax audits and other queries * Contribute to successful completion of tax accounting procedures by accurately preparing various tax calculations, assisting in gathering and analyzing financial information from various sources and ensuring tax returns are appropriately filed *Provide oversight to tax compliance by identifying areas of tax risk exposure and developing risk mitigation strategies *Recommend continuous improvement of tax processes by developing efficiencies and synthesizing process solutions to ensure implementation of best practices *Participate and manage the completion of various tax related projects and requirements by sharing knowledge and expertise, providing guidance on tax related matters, building relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements *Support team member development by assisting with integration of new associates, sharing knowledge, resolving tax questions and escalating complex issues when needed *Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating cultural expectations and influencing others to reward performance and value \"can do\" people, accountability, diversity and inclusion, flexibility, continuous improvement, collaboration, creativity and fun Required Education * Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience Required Experience * 4 years relevant experience Preferred Competencies/Skills * Experience preparing or reviewing state premium tax returns for a property and casualty insurer * Appropriately prioritize assigned tasks to ensure timely goal achievement *Work with people at different...
