Robert Half Purchasing Coordinator in Sun Valley, California
Description We are offering a contract for a Purchasing Coordinator position in Sun Valley, California. This role operates within the industry, where you will play a pivotal role in procuring supplies vital for our business operations. Your primary duties will encompass maintaining supplier information, assisting in regular purchasing activities, and coordinating with various teams to ensure the prompt receipt of all purchased materials.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately manage and update essential supplier data such as qualifications, product range, delivery time, and so on
• Streamline routine purchasing processes and activities, including the issuance of purchase orders and the meticulous tracking and record-keeping of orders
• Negotiate contracts, deadlines, and terms with vendors and suppliers to secure optimal terms
• Conduct thorough market research to identify pricing trends and pinpoint potential suppliers
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, maintain reports, and oversee databases to ensure smooth operations
• Guarantee the integrity of purchasing data in terms of accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of competitive bids, quotations, and proposals, with a focus on identifying those that best meet the company's specific needs
• Ensure full compliance with all procurement-related rules and regulations as well as company policies
• Collaborate closely with warehouse and production teams to guarantee the timely receipt of all purchased materials
• Foster and maintain positive relationships with suppliers or vendors to ensure uninterrupted business operations. Requirements • Proficiency in CRM
• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Familiarity with ERP Solutions
• Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC)
• Ability to use IBM AS/400
• Experience with About Time software
• Understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Knowledge of Budget Processes
• Familiarity with Buying Processes
