Camera Perception Scientist Responsibilities:
Research and develop best methodologies to tune image processing pipeline for camera systems.
Conduct subjective and objective image quality studies to assist internal R&D projects.
Research algorithm solutions to improve image quality for camera products.
Research, design and develop tools, metrics and workflows to improve camera tuning process.
Manage and report image quality deliverables to cross-functional team.
Review and contribute to the overall camera system design.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a Doctorate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Imaging Science, Color Science, Optics, Mathematics, Physics or related field. Foreign degree equivalent accepted. Requires completion of a graduate-level course, research project, or internship involving the following:
- Programming with Python or Matlab
- Camera pipeline or camera tuning
- Image processing techniques, ISP blocks and mainstream computational photography algorithms for mobile camera products
- Designing experimental methods and extracting data to answer complex questions, and
- Developing simple automation/script/tools to assist camera development processes.
Public Compensation:
$214,032/year to $240,240/year + bonus + equity + benefits
